Modern Salon Magazine was represented at the Energizing Summit with the presence of Alisha Marantz, Associate Editor. Alisha assisted Sharon Esche and Alex Alexander in their class, "I'm good, now make me famous."

"I'm good, now make me famous." is a class on how best to use PR to attract new business into the salon. The class was conducted by Sharon Esche and Alex Alexander, from a firm of the same name.

They are regarded as the very best public relations figures in the beauty industry. The presence of Alisha Marantz of Modern Salon Magazine gave the individuals in the class the opportunity to hear first hand (from a representative of a major trade journal) how the magazine views press releases that are sent to the magazine — which press releases are thrown away and and what is considered for publication.

Said Sharon Esche, "It was great having her [Alisha Marantz] here to speak to the class. We could have given the class the same information but it was so much better having it come from the source."

Sharon and Alex will return to teach again next year.
