Let’s get real, color has always been a big part our lives. Color evokes emotion. In the last few years bright colors have enhanced our industry. Our clients want it, Instagram shows us it and it is everywhere. From young to old we see more and more of it. Let’s do a little exploration and learn about all this street color. How long has it been around? What is it made of? What’s the best way to consult clients about it? How do we prep for application? How to we preserve the color? How do we safely remove the tones when our clients want change?This hands on class will be fun as we play with street colors and turn our mannequins into unicorns and mermaids. Let’s push your creative limits and see what you can create.

A $55.00 charge will be assessed for the mannequin which you may take with you at the conclusion of the class. All haircoloring equipment and product is furnished.

Stephen Adams is a positive and innovative problem solver, who has participated in many aspects within the beauty industry for the last 25 years. Through out the years he has been inspired deeply by the cultures of his surroundings. Art, humor, and clothing styles kindle his imagination and helps him see the world in a different aspect of texture, density, color and movement. Stephen has and remains in all aspects of this industry including salon owner, educator, and artistic leader at Moxie Hair Salon. Stephen founded Moxie Hair Salon in Minneapolis in 1999 and opened a second location in St. Paul in 2005. These Salons have developed a reputation as one of the most popular top end salons in the Twin Cities. In 2012 He started a distribution center of tools for hairdressers. and in 2014 He joined and co formed the BCEAssociation, a not for profit education association for beauty industry in the state of Minnesota. His commitment to education, community, and his industry is what pushes him to be the best of his abilities. His growing national reputation stems from his work as a platform artist for companies such as Aveda, JohnPaul Mitchell Systems, and ARROJO.
